Toronto police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly assaulted two random women in North York last Friday.

The incidents happened in the Willowdale neighbourhood, near Yonge Street and Parkview Avenue, just north of Sheppard Avenue.

Investigators say just before 5:15 p.m., a woman was walking northbound in that area when a male suspect who was walking southbound in her direction approached her and struck her on the back of the head without any provocation.

He then continued to walk southbound as the woman called police, they said.

“While the woman was on the line with the dispatcher, she observed the suspect strike another woman as he passed her on the street,” police said in a news release.

Investigators noted the two victims, who both suffered minor injuries, and the suspect are not known to each other.

The suspect is described as five-foot-seven and 25 to 35 years old with a black moustache.

He was last seen wearing a black toque, a blue winter jacket, black pants, and red, black, and white shoes.

Toronto police are concerned there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
