Major intersection in Toronto’s west end expected to reopen ahead of schedule

A major intersection in Toronto’s west end is set to reopen weeks ahead of schedule following an extended closure due to streetcar track replacement.

In a social media post, the city confirmed that the intersection of King and Dufferin streets is expected to reopen on Oct. 30, two weeks earlier than initially planned.

Streetcars will not immediately begin running through the area, the city noted, as testing will be conducted on the new tracks during the week of Nov. 3.

“Thank you for your patience as we completed this critical state of good repair work,” the social media post read.
