Metrolinx says it’s pausing major track work on the Lakeshore West Line this weekend to help fans get to and from the Toronto Blue Jays’ ALCS home games.
In an email to media, the transit agency confirmed that weekend GO Train and bus service will run as scheduled during Games 1 and 2.
“In support of the Toronto Blue Jays as they begin ALCS Home Games 1 and 2, Metrolinx is once again deferring major track work on the Lakeshore West Line to help customers get to and from the games,” the agency said in a statement Saturday.
As residents head into thanksgiving weekend, officials add that service on Monday will run on a “Saturday schedule” and they encourage riders to check online before travelling.
Metrolinx thanked its construction and rail partners and said future service adjustments or deferrals will be shared publicly.
