Cape Breton Regional Police say they responded to a call for help around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers were directed to a beach at the end of Black Point Street, below a cliff. Police found the man lying on the shoreline.
EHS and fire services assisted to carry the man out by stretcher. He was taken to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The police are investigating and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s cause of death.
No other details have been released at this time.
