Rain, possible thunderstorm in Toronto’s forecast as cooler temperatures arrive

Toronto residents are seeing a soggy start to their Thursday ahead of slightly cooler temperatures this weekend.

Showers and a risk of a thunderstorm are in the forecast this morning before clearing later this afternoon. The daytime high is expected to hit 19 C today.

While slightly warmer weather is on tap for Friday, “very windy conditions” are also expected, CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said.

so possible in the afternoon on Friday, which will see a high of 24 C.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected on Saturday and Sunday, with daytime highs of 20 C and 18 C on each day, respectively.

“Watch also for isolated showers both days, but they will be very localized,” Coulter said.

He noted that “brighter skies” will arrive for the start of the next work week.

“Temperatures should recover to seasonable and even above by mid next week,” Coulter added.

A chilly 18 C is in the forecast for Monday but Tuesday and Wednesday will see the temperature rise to 21 C and 23 C on each day, respectively.
