Pedestrian struck and killed in Aurora, York Regional Police say

York Regional Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Aurora early Monday morning.

It happened near Goulding Avenue, south of Wellington Street East, at around 2:30 a.m.

Police said paramedics responded to the scene but the woman was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene.

Officers are still trying to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision, police told CP24 on Monday morning.
