Fire breaks out at building near Eglinton and Black Creek

Crews are on the scene of a two-alarm fire at a three-storey residential building in the northwest part of the city.

Toronto Fire said they were called to a blaze at 2701 Eglinton Avenue West, near Black Creek Drive, shortly before 5:30 a.m.

A fire was located on the second floor of the building a has now been extinguished.

The building was evacuated and paramedics say they are assessing three patients on scene.

A TTC bus was brought in to shelter displaced residents.

The cause, origin, and circumstances surrounding the fire have not yet been determined.
