Toronto police say two more teens have been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of 14-year-old Abdoul Aziz Sarr earlier this year.
Police were called to the area of Eastern Avenue and Woodward Avenue at around 10:10 p.m. on July 5 for reports of a stabbing near a fast-food restaurant.
Officers say paramedics were flagged down at the scene and found a male victim suffering from injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Sarr’s death was marked the city’s 19th homicide of the year.
On Friday, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy — both from Toronto were arrested and each charged with first-degree murder.
Police say they are scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre sometime today.
The new arrests bring the total number of youths charged in the case to five. Two 16-year-old suspects were arrested earlier this year, and a third was charged in August.
