Toronto police have arrested a suspect in connection with multiple break-ins and thefts in the Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East areas.
The first reported incident occurred on March 4 at approximately 3:00 a.m. The suspect allegedly entered a home by opening the back door and threatened a resident with a knife. However, no items were stolen, and the suspect fled the scene.
Investigations revealed that the suspect was involved in at least three other similar incidents. In one case, he reportedly damaged a surveillance camera outside a residence before breaking into another home and stealing jewelry.
Authorities also stated that the suspect left a threatening note at one of the targeted homes.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Eian Dickson, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including burglary and intimidation.
