Provincial police say a snowmobiler died after striking a tree in western Quebec on Saturday morning.
A Sûreté du Québec spokesperson says local police were alerted to the crash at a snowmobile park in the community of Low at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Police say the driver veered off a trail for an unknown reason before colliding with a tree and being ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, a man in his 60’s, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital.
An investigation into the cause and circumstances of the crash continues.
Low is located approximately 60 kilometres north of Ottawa.
